Job Summary
The city is seeking an experienced Fleet Services Administrator to provide administrative support within the fleet maintenance department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage fleet operations with direct supervision of 1 supervisor and indirect supervision of 5 mechanics
- Manage & maintain fuel resources and fueling systems
- Manage the transition of fleet services from current location to new fleet facility
- Maintain oversight of the division's budget
- Solicit & manage division contracts
- Identify ways in which to reduce expenses without compromising quality or safety
- Process improvement
- Tracking of procured vehicles
- Efficient tracking of vehicles out for service at 3rd party vendor
- Improvement of vehicle service/repair process
- Identify inefficiencies
- Strategic planning
- Analyze maintenance and financial trends to forecast needs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of professional Administrative Assistant experience, preferably in a government, utilities, or permitting environment.
- Fleet management or support background a plus.
- Accounting background is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Supervisory and or management skills required
