We have an Electronic Soldering position open with a world-wide electronics manufacturing company in the Plano, TX area. This is a long-term contract opportunity. The purpose of this position is to upgrade and/or rework customer returns and production modules.
As A Member of This Team:
- Perform soldering on PCBs and other parts for all assigned units according to written instructions and drawings. May be required to remove parts and re-solder onto units.
- Maintain inventory of components used in the upgrade and rework process.
- Ensure that equipment is upgraded within 48 hours.
- Must comply with all established safety and ESD procedures while performing assignments.
- Maintain clean work area according to department standards.
You Will Need:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Soldering certification preferred.
- Two to three years of previous electronics repair experience to include SMT soldering.
- Previous SAP experience preferred.
- Must have experience in the handling, reworking, tracking, and inspecting of lead-free PCB assemblies.
- Demonstrated experience/ability reading and understanding work instructions and drawing.
- Good English reading and speaking skills are required.
- Effective time management skills and a high attention to detail are required.
- PCB (Printed Circuit Board) experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires long periods of sitting and bending over a work bench using soldering and microscope/magnifying instruments. Good Vision. Additional physical requirements include seeing, standing, reaching, hand dexterity, ability to distinguish colors and lifting up to 50 lbs.
