Job Description
The Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the design, build, maintenance, and improvement of electrical test fixtures. This role focuses on troubleshooting electrical systems to the component level and improving test efficiency, reliability, and repeatability in a production environment. The position works independently while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
The Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the design, build, maintenance, and improvement of electrical test fixtures. This role focuses on troubleshooting electrical systems to the component level and improving test efficiency, reliability, and repeatability in a production environment. The position works independently while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, validate, and maintain production electrical test fixtures
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical test fixtures and related components to the component level
- Repair and rework wire harnesses and electrical assemblies used in testing
- Diagnose electrical failures using schematics, drawings, and test documentation
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of AC and DC electrical theory
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience
- High school diploma with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or associate degree or technical school certification with 6+ months of relevant experience

The base salary range for this position is $60,000–$75,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
