Job Description
This role oversees workplace environmental, health, and safety compliance by conducting facility inspections, managing regulatory programs, leading safety training, and ensuring adherence to environmental and safety regulations, primarily in a manufacturing setting. The position also manages a safety team, maintains compliance records, and drives continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute facility-wide safety, health, and environmental inspections to identify and mitigate risk
- Establish, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and inspection schedules
- Oversee compliance with environmental, safety, and occupational health regulations
- Develop and deliver training programs on workplace safety, emergency response, and environmental compliance
- Supervise and mentor a team of safety professionals to ensure consistent EHS standards
- Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports and corrective action plans
- Manage environmental reporting and documentation (air, SPCC, SWPPP, waste, exposure records)
- Maintain and audit safety data, SDS documentation, and regulatory records
- Partner with leadership and operations to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventive actions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related STEM field
- 5+ years of experience in an EHS or safety-focused role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and compliance standards
- Experience managing or leading a team of safety professionals
- Hands-on experience with environmental reporting and compliance programs (e.g., Air, SPCC, SWPPP)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar business software
- Ability to conduct on-site inspections, carry inspection equipment, and work in varied conditions
- EHS certification and bilingual skills preferred

The base pay range for this position is $85,000 – $110,000 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
