Job Description
This Superintendent role oversees all onsite construction activities for a major public-sector facility project in Eastern South Dakota. The position requires strong leadership, planning, quality control, and safety management to ensure project success from start to finish. You will coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain schedules, documentation, and overall project excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-visibility, complex build for an established and growing construction organization.

The position requires strong leadership, planning, quality control, and safety management to ensure project success from start to finish. You will coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain schedules, documentation, and overall project excellence. Responsibilities:
- Will manage a team of Project Managers/Engineers, a Foreman, and general construction labor
- Proven successful track record of managing subcontractors and holding them accountable
- Complete daily reports, safety audits, and detailed project photo documentation
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and professional communication
- Create and communicate weekly short-interval schedules to subcontractors
- Manage all jobsite safety requirements and compliance
- Document scope changes, RFIs, unforeseen conditions, and additional work needs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 7-10 years of construction experience, 3-5 years as a Superintendent
- Proven experience overseeing large-scale, ($30-$50M) complex commercial or public-sector construction projects
- Must be able to commit to an estimated 2-year project in South Dakota.
- Preference for individual with stable, tenured work history.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with owners, designers, government officials, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
