Job Description
As a CNC Set up operator, you will perform a variety of tasks in a machine shop setting, including setting up and running milling, turning, drilling, and inspection. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area while producing quality parts according to customer and engineering specifications.
As a CNC Set up operator, you will perform a variety of tasks in a machine shop setting, including setting up and running milling, turning, drilling, and inspection. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area while producing quality parts according to customer and engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, and sanding machines
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Machining Supervisor
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas and follow all safety procedures
- Perform inspection of machined parts and document results
- Complete and maintain required production paperwork
- Read and interpret blueprints and routers
- Use basic math for part calculations and handheld measurement tools
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience on 3rd shift required
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
- Must be able to complete pre-employment screenings

The base salary for this position is up to $23/hr. based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
