Job Description
The CNC Programmer/CAD Detailer supports the Production Engineering Department by developing CNC programs and producing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings. This role works closely with engineering and plant personnel to ensure accurate, efficient production of engineered-to-order HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD experience, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to continue developing technical skills in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs using in-house CNC processes and software
- Create fabrication, assembly drawings, and bills of materials using AutoCAD and internal design programs
- Coordinate tooling needs, CNC standards, and machine operation requirements with engineering and plant teams
- Communicate with Design Engineering, Production Engineering, and plant personnel to execute accurate fabrication drawings
- Support continuous improvement through ongoing learning of drawing methods, tools, and best practices
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate’s degree or 2+ years of experience in CNC programming, CAD, or engineering technology
- AutoCAD experience required; NC Express or similar CNC software experience preferred
- Understanding of basic mechanical engineering design processes
- Strong math, communication, and organizational skills
- ERP and sheet metal or metal fabrication experience preferred but not required

The base salary range for this position is approximately $43,000–$45,000 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
