Job Description
The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components. This role supports daily production by utilizing machine tooling knowledge, programming applications, and data entry systems. The machinist will also ensure quality standards are met through inspections and adherence to process flow. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining operations.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC lathe and mill machines to meet production requirements
• Load and unload raw materials, selecting appropriate materials for each job
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues, modifying CNC programs to improve efficiency
• Perform preventive maintenance and provide technical support for tooling and equipment

Qualifications and Requirements:
• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent, including multi-axis machines
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, including G and M codes, offsets, and editing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical drawings
• Experience with manual and CNC equipment, including setup and operation
• Knowledge of machining techniques such as turning, milling, drilling, and threading

The base pay range for this position is $52,000–$58,000 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
