Job Description
The CNC Machinist will be working in a job shop environment, machining aluminum and mild steel products for the service-tooling and fixturing industry. Daily assignments in the milling department will generally include setting up and operating 3-axis Haas milling and inspecting machined components. A successful candidate will have experience in the aerospace industry making tooling and fixturing and are comfortable setting up their own jobs.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Haas CNC equipment for dimensional inspection
- Operate Fusion 360 or MasterCam programs to inspect complex parts
- Approve or reject parts based on tight-tolerance aerospace specifications
- Read blueprints and technical documentation to determine inspection criteria
- Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, and gages
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control for machined parts
- Skilled in operating Haas CNC and programming in Fusion 360 or MasterCam
- Knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Standards is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings
