Job Description
Join a tooling-focused machine shop as a CNC Lathe Operator, where you’ll play a key role in producing precision-machined components in a tooling—not production—environment. You will program, set up, and operate CNC lathes while interpreting technical blueprints and engineering designs. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain CNC equipment. You’ll ensure all finished components meet exact specifications through precise measurement and inspection.
Responsibilities
· Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to machine precision tooling components
· Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to meet project specifications
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as needed
· Measure and inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
· Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and workflow efficiency

Qualifications and Requirements
· Previous experience operating CNC lathes in a tooling or machining environment
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
· Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

The base salary range for this position is $41,600–$56,160, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
