Job Description
Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a long-term opportunity with training and career growth? A respected manufacturer in Solon, OH is hiring for a skilled machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinders. You’ll begin on 1st shift for training and then transition to a 2nd shift role. This is a hands-on position where precision and quality matter—and where your skills will be appreciated and expanded.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders
- Perform first-piece inspections and monitor part quality throughout production
- Use precision tools like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Maintain equipment and perform daily checks to ensure safe operation
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience (including lathes, mills, grinders, and radial drills)
- 2+ years of CNC setup experience
- Strong understanding of English (reading, writing, speaking) for technical communication

The base salary range for this position is $20,800–$52,000 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top of the range is rare and typically reserved to allow for future growth.
