Your Role:
As a CNC Lathe Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and optimizing CNC lathe machines to support efficient production of high-precision components. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, and program adjustments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complete setups on CNC Lathe machines, including tooling, offsets and program verification
- Interpret blueprints, job travelers, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machine setup
- Set tool heights, speeds and feeds to optimize performance and quality
- Make program edits and adjustments as needed to maintain tolerances and efficiency
- Work with live tooling
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of CNC Lathe setup experience required
- Strong knowledge of hands-on experience with life tooling
- Proven ability to perform full machine setups independently
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience making program edits at the machine
- Strong inspection skills using micrometers, calipers, and gauges

The base salary for this position is up to $30 per hour excluding benefits, bonuses or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
