Job Description
Join a high-precision aerospace and defense manufacturer in Solon, OH as a CMM Programmer on 1st Shift. In this key quality assurance role, you will inspect and validate high-tolerance machined parts using Zeiss CMMs and Calypso software, ensuring they meet exacting aerospace standards. This position is perfect for experienced professionals passionate about precision and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Zeiss CMM equipment for dimensional inspection
- Write and modify Calypso programs to inspect complex parts
- Approve or reject parts based on tight-tolerance aerospace specifications
- Read blueprints and technical documentation to determine inspection criteria
- Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, and gages
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control for machined parts
- Skilled in operating Zeiss CMMs and programming in Calypso
- Knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Standards
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings
