Job Description
We are seeking a C-Class Burner to cut and shape metal materials using oxy-fuel, plasma, and CNC cutting equipment in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment. The role requires the ability to read basic blueprints or work orders, set up and operate cutting machines, and accurately cut metal to required specifications while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up oxy-fuel, plasma, or other cutting equipment to burn metal parts according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine cutting specifications, material requirements, and dimensions for each job.
- Set up and adjust cutting equipment, ensuring correct material handling and proper machine settings to meet production requirements.
- Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. Make adjustments to processes if needed to maintain part quality.
- Perform basic maintenance on cutting equipment, including inspecting tools and machines for wear and tear. Troubleshoot minor issues and report major equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in fabrication, welding, or steel environments.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience operating metal cutting equipment, including oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, or CNC cutting machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate cuts and dimensions.
- Basic CNC machine knowledge or experience, including setting up or operating CNC-controlled cutting tables.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth
