Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manual / Automatic Hone Operator to support precision machining operations. In this role, you will operate and maintain honing machines used to finish precision components to exact specifications. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to inspect parts to ensure compliance with customer and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and automatic honing machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
- Perform machine setups and tear-downs as required
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements
- Use precision measuring instruments such as dial bores and Sunnen gauges
- Handle machined materials carefully to ensure product consistency
- Complete production documentation and reports accurately
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant machining or honing experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision inspection tools and gauges
- Understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
