Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to join a growing company in the industrial supply space. This role is responsible for processing a variety of invoices, including inventory, freight, general payables, and intercompany transactions, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AP, with hands-on experience handling both domestic and international inventory-related payables.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with vendors and internal teams, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Process a variety of invoices, including inventory, freight, general payables, and intercompany transactions.
- Perform three-way matching of invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Code invoices to the general ledger accurately.
- Investigate quantity or price discrepancies and resolve issues that could delay payments.
- Ensure timely payments and take advantage of available vendor discounts.
- Monitor A/P aging reports to identify and resolve problem invoices.
- Support cross-training in all Accounts Payable functions when possible.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve questions or issues.
- Maintain organized records of invoices, approvals, and payment documentation.
- Assist with process improvements to streamline A/P workflows.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5–7 years of Accounts Payable experience, including three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving.
- Experience processing inventory and freight payables.
- Well-rounded AP experience across various invoice types preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel; ability to create reports and analyze data.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks without distraction.
- Strong work ethic, professional maturity, and dedication to the AP function.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work with all levels of employees and respond to vendors promptly.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance; must be available to work overtime if necessary.
- College degree or coursework in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required

The base pay range for this position is $26-$27/hr, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
