Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to lead and support personal lines rate filings for Auto and Umbrella products. In this role, you will collaborate with state Departments of Insurance (DOIs) and cross-functional teams to ensure filings are actuarially sound, compliant, and competitive. You will review work prepared by junior analysts, provide feedback, and present recommendations to leadership. This position is ideal for actuaries with strong regulatory knowledge and experience in overseeing rate filings.
Responsibilities
• Lead and support personal lines rate filings for Auto and Umbrella products, including DOI engagement
• Review and provide feedback on filings prepared by junior analysts
• Address DOI objections with clear, data-driven responses
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure filings reflect trends, regulations, and market dynamics
• Present technical concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences, including executives
• Review and provide feedback on filings prepared by junior analysts

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
• ACAS or FCAS designation required
• 4+ years of actuarial or analytical experience, including 2+ years with U.S. personal lines rate filings
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and regulatory knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• ACAS or FCAS designation required
• 4+ years of actuarial or analytical experience, including 2+ years with U.S. personal lines rate filings
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and regulatory knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts

The base pay for this position is $90.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
