Job Description
A leading packaging company in Bardstown, Kentucky, is hiring for their Quality Department. This role includes performing inspections and tests on equipment, maintaining detailed records of inspections, presenting quality reports, and assisting with quality improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and tests on equipment, raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify product specifications and functionality
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and deviations
- Prepare and present quality control reports, highlighting trends, non-conformities, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues, ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards in all activities
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate Degree, Technical Degree or certification is preferred
- Must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective and Product Protective Equipment)
- Possesses at least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Prior experience with measurement tools and testing equipment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening, including drug and background checks
