Job Description
The Bindery Operator performs manual and machine-operating duties related to bindery equipment, including folding, stitching, collating, and cutting/guillotine machines. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bindery machinery to meet quality and production standards. The operator continuously monitors product quality and ensures all work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Review job tickets for specifications and special instructions prior to machine setup and operation
- Set up, operate, and perform preventative maintenance on bindery equipment to meet quality and quantity standards
- Inspect products during production to ensure compliance with job requirements
- Maintain accurate quality and production records
- Support safety initiatives by maintaining a clean, organized work area and reporting unsafe conditions
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with four or more years of relevant industry experience, or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee with manager approval
- Basic computer skills, including email, mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
