Job Description
An established company in Burlington, NC, is seeking a Laser Operator to join its manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC laser-cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to production specifications. You will be responsible for preparing materials, monitoring cutting operations, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and an interest in growing their career in metal fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC laser-cutting equipment to produce metal parts according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Load and position sheet metal materials, monitor cutting operations, and remove finished parts.
- Inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify cutting issues, and make basic adjustments or report problems as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while following established safety procedures and production standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC laser-cutting equipment or similar manufacturing machinery preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and measurements.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and quality inspection procedures preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

The base pay range for this position is $18–$22 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Higher pay may be considered for candidates with additional experience. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
