Job Description

An established manufacturing company in Columbus, GA, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to perform laboratory testing, inspect materials, and ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards. In this role, you will conduct routine testing, calibrate equipment, and maintain accurate quality documentation. You will also support ISO 9001 compliance and collaborate with production teams to maintain product quality and consistency. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in rubber extrusion, manufacturing quality, or laboratory testing.

Responsibilities:

· Perform routine testing of raw materials and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.

· Conduct equipment calibrations, first-piece inspections, and quality audits of production processes and finished goods.

· Maintain accurate testing records and documentation to support ISO 9001 quality standards.

· Assist in developing quality specifications for raw materials, finished products, and substitute materials.

· Communicate quality findings to production teams while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized laboratory.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.

· Minimum 1 year of experience with extruded rubber products or a similar manufacturing environment.

· Working knowledge of ISO quality standards.

· Ability to work a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Knowledge of laboratory testing, extrusion processes, and raw material mixing preferred.

The base pay rate for this position is $18.50 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
