Job Description
The Warehouse Custodian plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and office environment. This position is responsible for general janitorial duties, waste removal, cleaning supplies, and maintaining designated warehouse and building areas. The Warehouse Custodian will also assist with basic warehouse operations and respond to cleaning or maintenance needs as they arise. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, office, picking areas, pallet locations, restrooms, kitchens, and designated building areas.
- Break down and bale empty boxes, including operating the baling machine when needed.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, remove cobwebs, clean vents, and perform general cleaning duties.
- Gather and empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of materials in designated areas.
- Manage cleaning supplies and equipment and respond promptly to spills, emergency cleaning needs, and repair requests.
- Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs or maintenance issues.
- Cross-train and assist with warehouse operations as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous custodial, janitorial, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, procedures, and practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks promptly with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorial duties.
- Ability to safely use cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.

The base pay for this position is $17.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
