Job Description
As a Slitter Operator, you will set up and operate slitting equipment to cut film to specified widths, lengths, and diameters while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards. You will read production schedules and customer specifications, adjust machine settings, and monitor equipment throughout production. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate slitting machines according to production schedules and customer specifications
· Install and align blades, spacers, sleeves, lay-on bars, and other machine components
· Thread feedstock through the slitter, secure material on the rewinder, and monitor machine operation
· Inspect finished rolls for defects and measure dimensions using tape measures, gauges, templates, rulers, and other tools
· Maintain a clean and safe work area while following company safety, quality, and production procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years of manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
· Ability to work at a fast pace, multitask, and read production tickets and customer specifications
· Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions
· Ability to read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools, including micrometers
· Basic computer skills and ability to follow computer procedures
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, stretch, and move for extended periods
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
