Senior Accountant + Billing & Accounts Receivable | Onsite | DH | $70K-85K
Join an established organization seeking an experienced Senior Level Accountant with a strong background in high-volume billing and accounts receivable. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who has progressed beyond transactional processing and can independently manage complex billing responsibilities, investigate discrepancies, improve processes, and serve as a knowledgeable resource within an accounting team. Experienced within the Logistics or Transportation industry is a plus!
What You’ll Do
- Manage high-volume customer billing and invoicing processes
- Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Manage accounts receivable activities and account reconciliations
- Research and resolve complex billing and payment discrepancies
- Partner with internal departments to obtain accurate billing information
- Monitor outstanding transactions and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Support month-end close and related accounting activities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with additional operational accounting responsibilities as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and internal processes
- Serve as a resource to other accounting team members
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of accounting, billing, or accounts receivable experience required
- Strong preference for candidates with high-volume invoicing and transaction-processing experience
- Demonstrated ownership of billing or AR processes
- Experience researching and resolving complex invoice discrepancies
- Understanding of reconciliations and general accounting processes
- Strong Excel and accounting-system skills
- Ability to independently prioritize a high volume of work
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively across departments
- Dependable, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership
- Comfortable working in an onsite environment
