Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Patient Access Representative to provide temporary front desk support for a busy orthopedic clinic in Cypress, TX. This position will focus on greeting patients, delivering exceptional customer service, scheduling follow-up appointments, and assisting with general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner while ensuring a positive front desk experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to patient needs and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Schedule patient follow-up appointments accurately using Epic (EMR).
- Obtain and verify patient demographic and registration information as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation while adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide general administrative and front desk support to ensure efficient daily clinic operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of previous healthcare front desk, patient access, or medical office experience is required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient typing and general computer skills with the ability to learn Epic and clinic workflows quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and clinic staff.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to department-specific procedures.
