Job Description:
We are seeking an Advanced Product Development Lead to guide early stage electromechanical product development from initial market opportunity through concept design freeze.
This role is focused on turning early ideas into technically credible, well defined product concepts. You will work closely with Product Management and engineering teams to clarify requirements, evaluate feasibility, identify technical risks, guide design tradeoffs, and strengthen the technical capability of the engineering team before products transition into Product Realization.
Responsibilities:
• Lead product development from early concept through design freeze and readiness for Product Realization
• Partner with Product Management to evaluate technical feasibility, requirements, architecture, risks, and scalability
• Provide technical guidance across mechanical and electrical disciplines through design reviews and system level tradeoff decisions
• Coach engineers to improve technical judgment, problem solving, and independent ownership
• Strengthen product development methods, technical review practices, tools, and standard work
• Support technology roadmaps by identifying portfolio gaps, common technologies, and opportunities for reuse across products
• Partner with Product Management to evaluate technical feasibility, requirements, architecture, risks, and scalability
• Provide technical guidance across mechanical and electrical disciplines through design reviews and system level tradeoff decisions

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
• 7+ years of progressive product development experience
• Strong experience with electromechanical products and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Demonstrated progression from individual contributor into technical, project, or team leadership
• Ability to review mechanical and electrical design outputs and provide system level technical direction
• Experience working through ambiguous early stage development; familiarity with SolidWorks and Altium preferred
• 7+ years of progressive product development experience
• Strong experience with electromechanical products and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Demonstrated progression from individual contributor into technical, project, or team leadership
• Ability to review mechanical and electrical design outputs and provide system level technical direction
• Experience working through ambiguous early stage development; familiarity with SolidWorks and Altium preferred
