As a Skilled Stamping Set-Up Operator, You Will:
Join a growing manufacturing team producing precision components used in industrial applications. In this hands-on role, you will set up and operate stamping press equipment, complete changeovers and adjustments, monitor production and quality, and help keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
Five years of metal stamping experience is preferred; however, candidates with die setting, manual-loading machining, machine setup, or other strongly mechanical manufacturing experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate stamping press equipment and auxiliary equipment
- Prepare work areas, materials, and equipment for production
- Load and adjust feeders to maintain proper material flow and alignment
- Prepare, install, and adjust dies for production runs and changeovers
- Monitor equipment and finished parts to maintain production and quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and make appropriate mechanical adjustments
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, part prints, and production instructions
- Use measuring instruments to verify parts meet specifications
- Perform routine and minor equipment maintenance
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all required safety procedures and PPE requirements, including safe operation around press equipment and overhead cranes
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Five years of metal stamping experience preferred; strong related mechanical manufacturing experience will also be considered
- Die setting, press setup, manual-loading machining, or similar mechanically inclined experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery, hand tools, and production equipment
- Ability to perform machine setup, adjustments, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read work instructions, measurements, and production specifications
- Blueprint or part-print reading experience preferred
- Experience with precision measuring tools is preferred
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to take initiative
- Comfortable working in a loud and hot manufacturing/pressroom environment
- Overhead crane experience is preferred; forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

The base salary for this position is $22-$25 per hour based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final rate of pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note that hiring at the top of the pay range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
