Job Description:
Under broad supervision, assists technicians and laboratory scientists with data or specimen collection and laboratory procedures. Provides support and services in fields such as agriculture, environmental science, resource management, biology and health sciences.
Responsibilities:
Performs basic laboratory procedures and certain clinical duties under the direction of clinician
- Collects and receives samples and/or specimens for analysis.
- Performing vital signs, measuring height and weight, confirming purpose of appointment.
- Maintain medical records and preparing patients for examination.
- Assist provider during examination as needed.
- Maintain exam rooms with supplies and cleaning exam rooms between patients
- Adheres to laboratory policies per Laboratory policies and Procedures Manual.
- Adhere to Occupational Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
- Maintains lab supplies and performs laboratory housekeeping.
- Attends required in-services.
- Perform hearing/vision screenings
- Prepare, train, and respond to Public Health Emergencies as directed within the scope of your work.
Expectations: Complete a personal emergency plan. Participates in emergency preparedness trainings, drills, and exercises, as directed. In the event of a public health emergency, participates in the emergency response activities, within DHEART Team assignment or otherwise as directed. • Utilize autoclave to sterilize instruments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Vocational/Technical degree in medical assisting from an accredited college preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-year of related experience

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
