Job Description
The Teller is responsible for performing member banking transactions, providing education on available banking services, and communicating banking products to members. This role processes deposits, withdrawals, checks, money orders, and other financial transactions while providing excellent member service. The Teller also identifies members’ financial needs, recommends relevant solutions and convenient technology options, and maintains accurate cash and transaction records. The position may provide support and coverage to other branches based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
· Process deposits, withdrawals, checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, and other member banking transactions while verifying identification, signatures, endorsements, and transaction accuracy.
· Provide exceptional member service by welcoming members, managing lobby traffic, scheduling appointments, and identifying financial needs and appropriate banking solutions.
· Balance cash drawers, maintain cash inventories, prepare monies for deposit or shipment, order cash supplies, and maintain accountability for vault and dual-control access.
· Maintain branch security and follow opening and closing procedures while protecting negotiables and confidential records.
· Follow Bank Secrecy Act and company procedures, including identifying unusual or fraudulent activity, completing required reports, and meeting all mandatory compliance deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous cash handling experience required.
· Previous experience working directly with the public required.
· Minimum one (1) year of member service, financial services, or similar retail experience preferred. Must be flexible to support other branches based on business needs.

The base pay range for this position is $16.50/hr. excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
