Job Description
As a Quality Associate, you will support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation by inspecting parts and materials to help ensure products meet established quality requirements before moving through the production process. You will perform visual inspections, identify defects or nonconforming material, document or communicate quality concerns, and work closely with production team members to maintain quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of automotive parts, components, and materials for defects, damage, or other quality concerns.
- Verify parts and materials meet established quality requirements, work instructions, labels, and visual standards.
- Identify, separate, and report nonconforming or defective material to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
- Document inspection results and communicate quality issues clearly and accurately as required.
- Work closely with production and material-handling teams while following standardized work, safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify visual defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive inspection and material-handling tasks for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to follow work instructions, quality standards, labels, and established inspection procedures.
- Previous manufacturing, automotive production, quality inspection, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Must be dependable, punctual, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
