Job Description
The Welding Supervisor leads and supports manufacturing employees to safely and efficiently build and ship high-quality products while meeting customer requirements. This hands-on leadership role coordinates staffing, workflow, production schedules, quality, and safety while assisting with welding and other production activities as needed. The supervisor also drives Lean Manufacturing, 5S, cross-training, continuous improvement, and employee development.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and support manufacturing employees to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
• Coordinate staffing, work schedules, daily workflow, labor needs, and production priorities.
• Assist the team on the shop floor with welding and other production activities when needed.
• Resolve production issues and improve production methods, equipment performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive 5S, Lean Manufacturing, cross-training, safety inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Welding and manufacturing experience preferred; previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience/training; six months to one year of related experience and/or training may qualify.
• Strong communication, organization, scheduling, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, procedures, and schedules.
• Must successfully complete the in-house forklift and overhead crane certification program before operating these machines; training is provided.

The base salary range for this position is $62,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
