Job Description
As a Cold Storage Lumper/Forklift Operator, you will primarily perform physical warehouse duties in a cold storage environment, including loading, unloading, and palletizing freight. This is a hands-on lumper position first and foremost. While forklift certification is required, operating a forklift is only part of the role and will be performed as operational needs require. The ideal candidate understands that manual labor is the primary responsibility and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, sort, stack, and palletize products within a cold storage warehouse.
- Perform manual lumping duties, including breaking down and rebuilding pallets.
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trailers when assigned.
- Assist with product movement, inventory organization, and warehouse cleanliness.
- Follow all safety procedures while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous warehouse and cold storage experience preferred.
- Current forklift certification and forklift operating experience required.
- Must understand that this position is primarily a manual labor/lumper role, with forklift operation performed as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated or freezer warehouse environments while maintaining attendance and productivity expectations.

The pay range for this position is $41,600–$41,600 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
