Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Service Person 2 to support recycling, waste management, and housekeeping operations throughout a distribution facility. This role is responsible for operating baling equipment, collecting recyclable materials, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating material handling equipment and a strong commitment to workplace safety and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, and process recyclable materials and waste throughout the facility
- Operate baling equipment and ensure proper handling and binding of recycled materials
- Load and unload trucks and trailers related to recycling and waste management operations
- Operate pallet jacks, walkie riders, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all company safety procedures and policies
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Experience operating forklifts, walkie riders, balers, or similar equipment preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and work in a warehouse environment with dust and varying conditions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
