Job Description
Support daily shipping and logistics operations for a printing manufacturer by preparing shipment documentation, processing orders, coordinating outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role is essential to ensuring finished products are shipped accurately, on time, and according to customer requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable using technology, computer systems, and shipping platforms in a fast-paced production environment.
Support daily shipping and logistics operations for a printing manufacturer by preparing shipment documentation, processing orders, coordinating outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role is essential to ensuring finished products are shipped accurately, on time, and according to customer requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable using technology, computer systems, and shipping platforms in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments using computer systems, shipping platforms, and carrier portals
- Create, print, and verify shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipment documentation
- Enter shipment information accurately into internal systems and update order statuses as needed
- Review work orders, customer shipping instructions, and production schedules to ensure accurate shipment preparation
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams regarding shipment priorities, timelines, and order updates
- Verify completed orders for accuracy before shipment, including quantities, labels, and required documentation
- Assist with tracking shipments and communicating updates or issues to the appropriate internal teams
- Organize and maintain shipping records, paperwork, and electronic files
- Support staging, labeling, and preparation of finished products for carrier pickup as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
- Report shipping, material, system, or order discrepancies to supervisors promptly
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous shipping, logistics, warehouse, production, clerical, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Comfortable using computers, shipping software, scanners, carrier portals, and internal order systems
- Basic technology skills required, including data entry, email, and navigating computer-based systems
- Ability to read and follow work orders, shipping instructions, and production documents
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing shipment information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and carriers as needed
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift materials as needed throughout the shift

The base pay range for this position is $17/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
