Job Description
The Scale Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, calibrating, and installing production equipment throughout the facility, including inline scales, labeling systems, barcode readers, metal detectors, and machine controls.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain inline scales, labeling equipment, barcode readers, and related production systems
- Perform scheduled equipment audits and document results to ensure operational accuracy
- Make machine adjustments and modifications to meet production and alarm criteria
- Complete preventative maintenance activities and assist with equipment installations
- Communicate equipment concerns and improvement opportunities to supervisors and production leadership
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and reading industrial blueprints
- Basic understanding of electrical components, troubleshooting, and safety practices
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and associated programming software
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment, including weekends and holidays as needed

The base salary range for this position is $25 – $35 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range in uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
