The Reserves Network is partnering with a nationally recognized leader in orthotic and prosthetic care to hire a Patient Care Coordinator. Your New Role:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will provide front office and administrative support to patients, clinical staff, and referral sources. Daily responsibilities include:
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Creating and maintaining patient charts and records
- Scanning, filing, and organizing medical documents
- Managing incoming phone calls and inquiries
- Obtaining insurance authorizations
- Processing payments and assisting with account collections
- Providing financial counseling to patients
- Conducting billing and document research within electronic medical record systems
What You Need:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Less than 1 year of customer service, administrative, or related experience required
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
- Strong computer and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a professional medical office environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as NextGen or OnBase
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical insurance terminology
- Associate degree preferred
- Typing speed of 40 WPM
- Experience using Microsoft Office and office equipment
- Basic accounting and administrative math skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day
- Frequent use of hands for office equipment and computer work
- Ability to occasionally bend, twist, reach overhead, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Strong verbal communication and visual focus abilities
