Job Description
The Quality Control Technician inspects final products and tooling to ensure compliance with order specifications, customer drawings, work instructions and control plans. This role performs product and tooling inspections, completes SPC/data collection and product certifications, and determines whether materials meet acceptance standards. The Quality Control Technician also supports quality documentation by initiating supplier rejection reports/nonconformance reports and placing nonconforming product or tooling on hold. This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail and the ability to use measuring gages, prints and inspection instructions to confirm conformance.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test product and tooling to ensure conformance with order specifications, customer drawings and quality standards
- Read and interpret customer drawings and compare them to scans to ensure product conformance
- Complete SPC/data collection, product certifications and acceptance documentation
- Initiate supplier rejection reports/nonconformance reports (NCRs) and place nonconforming product or tooling on hold
- Follow work instructions and control plans, notify supervisors of changes, and provide input for continuous improvement
- Participate in responsibilities defined in the ISO/QS Management System manuals
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- One year of mechanical inspection experience or previous product knowledge required
- Experience using a computer required
- Manufacturing experience preferred; 3D scanning and/or CAD experience preferred
- Knowledge of production processes and ability to use measuring gages, calipers and other measurement equipment
- Ability to read prints, determine acceptance using drawings and instructions, and communicate well with others
- Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual skills are a plus
- Proficiency in basic math, APQP and/or other appropriate skills as defined in the QMS/EMS/LMS Management System manuals

The base pay range for this position is $22.00-$30.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
