Job Description
- Set up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to the specifications provided on the job ticket
- Insert address tags into mail sacks, or mail trays used for bulk mailing of ID cards, kits, and catalogs
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
- Keep work area in order and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Able to read postal statements and sort mail accordingly
- Make adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications
- Direct and supervise the work of helpers on the machine
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
- Communicates status of jobs to department manager
- Follow standard operating procedures according to the department’s guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Your Experience:
- A minimum of two years; experience in printing or mail inserting environment (operating either Pitney Bowes, Kern or Bell and Howell Inserters is a plus)
- High school graduate, or completion of GED preferred.
