Job Description
A leading textile manufacturing facility is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Change Crew Operator to support spinning operations and maintain production efficiency. This role is responsible for creeling frames, replacing travelers, cleaning spinning equipment, and ensuring fiber quality standards are met throughout the production process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, works well independently and with a team, and is committed to safety, quality, and reliability. Prior spinning or textile experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Hang and creel roving on spinning frames
- Replace travelers
- Clean spinning frames, rolls, drafting zones, pneumafil sections, and related equipment
- Separate, process, and dispose of waste materials according to fiber type and company procedures
- Identify and flag quality or mechanical issues requiring maintenance attention
- Use blow stations and presses to remove yarn from bobbins as needed
- Follow all PPE, safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervision
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete flooring during shift
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift, and reach up to 6 feet high
- Must be able to read and follow written job instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects and mechanical issues
- Textile, spinning, doffing, or high-performance fiber experience preferred but not required
