Job Description
A leading textile manufacturing facility is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Roving Operator to support daily roving frame operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for supplying stock to roving frames, monitoring machine operation, doffing roving bobbins, and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate values safety, teamwork, and production efficiency while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Prior textile or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor roving frames by supplying cans of stock and creeling sliver cans as needed
· Patrol assigned area to repair ends down, remove laps, and monitor machine performance
· Doff roving bobbins and move full boxes to designated storage areas
· Clean roving frames, clearers, flyers, and pneumafil boxes according to production standards
· Properly identify, handle, and dispose of raw materials and waste products
· Inspect IDs and complete required roving doff documentation accurately
· Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures
· Perform additional duties assigned by supervision

Qualifications and Requirements:
· Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete flooring during shift
· Ability to frequently lift roving bobbins and materials weighing 5–10 lbs.
· Must be able to read printed materials, forms, specifications, and machine IDs
· Strong attention to detail with ability to identify quality defects and mechanical issues
· Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel
· Must be able to use an electronic digital scale
· Textile, manufacturing, spinning, or roving experience preferred but not required
· Ability to frequently lift roving bobbins and materials weighing 5–10 lbs.

The base pay range for this position is $33,321 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
