Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring all equipment and machinery are operating safely and efficiently in a production environment. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment, trailers, and hydraulic systems. The position works closely with operations and production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment performance. Strong attention to safety, compliance, and communication is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers, heavy equipment, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain equipment records, including maintenance schedules and cost tracking
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and ANSI regulations, including inspections and lockout/tagout procedures
- Communicate with foreman and team members to identify equipment issues and maintain proper parts inventory
- Support safety initiatives, report hazards, and maintain daily 5S standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with solid communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work extended hours, and perform physical tasks including climbing and crawling

The base salary range for this position is $24-30 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
