Job Description
The Accounting & Operations Lead plays a critical role in overseeing fund operations and accounting workflows for a highly respected, employee-owned investment firm. This position partners closely with the CFO, managing key relationships with outsourced providers while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across daily through annual processes. This is a high-visibility role offering direct exposure to executive leadership and strategic decision-making, with a clear long-term path toward senior leadership. The position is designed as a succession runway to a future CFO role within approximately 6–8 years for a high-performing candidate.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day fund operations and manage relationships with outsourced providers
- Review cash flows, trade settlements, expenses, and operational activities
- Lead liquidity tracking and coordinate internal committee processes
- Manage accounts payable, expense reporting, and fixed asset systems
- Support financial reporting, audits, and regulatory filings
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- 5+ years of mutual fund accounting, asset management, or back/middle office experience preferred, or experience in Audit/Assurance for a Large Public Accounting Firm, ideally serving clients in financial services
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and systems proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across stakeholders
