Job Description
The Customer Service Window position supports daily logistics operations by managing truck check-in and check-out processes, coordinating closely with drivers, sales, and yard supervisors. This role ensures accurate order handling, communicates updates and priority changes, processes shipping documents, and maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily truck check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate with drivers to collect and verify pickup and delivery information
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage workflow, priorities, and yard activity
- Monitor and update active orders, ensuring any changes are communicated promptly to the appropriate teams
- Respond to internal requests such as adjusting priorities, expediting orders, or removing items from processing queues
- Maintain and manage the system used to track incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare, review, and distribute shipping documentation, including packing lists and delivery tickets
- Ensure all outbound drivers complete required sign-out procedures and documentation
- Support clear and professional communication across departments, including email correspondence
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as needed to support operations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email)
- Ability to read and interpret work-related documents, charts, and tables
- Strong attention to detail with solid basic math skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
