Job Description
We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead key accounting functions supporting accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within an insurance environment. This role oversees statutory accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple insurance product lines. You will provide leadership to accounting staff while partnering cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate reporting in a highly regulated industry.

Your Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop accounting staff of 4-5, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Review general ledger activity and supporting documentation for completeness
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting (statutory basis)
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures
- Partner with auditors and internal teams to support audits and compliance
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5–7 years of accounting experience, including insurance accounting
- 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, GL processes, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with systems such as Workday or Blackline preferred
