Job Description
Join a leading line pipe distributor in South Houston as a Forklift Operator on a temp-to-hire basis. In this role, you will manage and organize inventory, handle incoming shipments, and support efficient order fulfillment. You will operate heavy-duty forklifts, move and stage materials, and maintain organization throughout the pipe yard. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to unload trucks and move inventory throughout the yard
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing materials and work areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving, including preparing and verifying orders
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in a pipe yard and forklift operation
- Experience operating heavy industrial forklifts (25,000 lbs. capacity or more)
- Valid forklift certification required
- Experience handling carbon and stainless-steel pipe preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
