Job Description
The Lab Technician is responsible for mixing resins and additives to manufacture and test fiber-reinforced composite materials. This role supports both laboratory and manufacturing environments by assisting with prototype development and material testing. The technician will work with epoxy and acrylic systems using various curing methods such as UV, amine, and peroxide curing. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Responsibilities:
- Mix and prepare resins, additives, and composite materials for testing and production
- Assist in prototype development, including vacuum bagging, compression molding, and filament winding
- Conduct material testing using mechanical testing equipment and viscometers
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as high shear planetary mixers
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience working with resins, polymers, or composite materials is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a hands-on environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
