Job Description
As a Shop Helper, you will support daily operations in a busy manufacturing/shop environment. You will assist with assembly, equipment maintenance, and material handling, ensuring workflow is efficient and organized. This role is hands-on, team-oriented, and essential to keeping the shop clean, safe, and productive. You will work closely with technicians and other personnel to help the team meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly, cleaning, and maintenance of shop equipment and tools
- Prepare and stage materials for production and shipping
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring proper handling and storage of products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards
- Support technicians and other shop personnel with various tasks as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to read a tape measure
