Job Description
Position Summary
A manufacturing-focused organization is seeking a detail-oriented BOM & Routing Data Specialist to support production operations through the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical data within ERP, MRP, and MES systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate work order processing and alignment with overall product development and manufacturing workflows.
The BOM & Routing Data Specialist collaborates closely with Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, support compliance with customer and regulatory standards, and enable effective configuration management practices
Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and item master data in ERP/MRP/MES systems
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of work order system data to support production and scheduling
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to implement and maintain product structures and process flows
- Support engineering change management (ECN/ECO) activities, ensuring timely and accurate system updates
- Verify data compliance with customer, regulatory, statutory, and internal configuration management requirements
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs)
- Analyze and resolve data discrepancies impacting production, inventory, or costing
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data accuracy, system efficiency, and process standardization
- Work cross-functionally with Materials, Production Control, Quality, and Finance to ensure alignment of system data
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and high level off accuracy
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency maintaining BOM’s, routings, and item master data in ERP/MRP/MES systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related field preferred
- Experience with Sage ERP systems preferred
- Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background and drug screen

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $20-25 an hr, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
