Job Description
Join a growing manufacturing team in a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of CNC setup operations, workflow coordination, and team development. This position plays a key role in ensuring production efficiency, quality, and organization across the shop floor.
Join a growing manufacturing team in a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of CNC setup operations, workflow coordination, and team development. This position plays a key role in ensuring production efficiency, quality, and organization across the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC machines and verify part measurements meet specifications
- Manage work order flow, prioritization, and machine utilization
- Coordinate pick lists and communicate priorities across teams
- Ensure materials are staged, accurate, and ready for production
- Verify programs are properly loaded, correct revisions are used, and aligned to prints
- Confirm proper fixturing, clamps, and stops are in place
- Ensure completion of daily machine checklists
- Maintain 5S standards (organization, cleanliness, tool boards, etc.)
- Keep setup areas and bins organized and production-ready
- Audit system usage and ensure proper documentation practices
- Assist with developing and improving work instructions
- Train and mentor operators and setup technicians
- Lead onboarding, training, and skill tracking for new team members
- Drive continuous improvement efforts (safety, scrap reduction, efficiency, changeover time)
- Conduct safety talks and collaborate with 1st shift CNC team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of CNC operator experience
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience measuring parts (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of machine setup experience
- Strong understanding of blueprints and machining processes
- Ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety

The base salary for this position is up to $26/hr. based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
