Job Description
As a tig welder you will weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Layout, position, align and secure parts and assemblies. Utilize straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers. This role will also support the weld department trainer in helping guide and develop team members and may occasionally assist in other departments as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly
- Utilize straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat bend, grind or bold component parts
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, etc.
- Support the weld department trainer in helping guide and develop team members and may occasionally assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in welding in a manufacturing environment
- Two years or more experience with welding aluminum sheet metal
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of TIG welding

The base salary for this position is up to $27/hr., excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
